Eight days a week
So this poor blog has gotten a bit stale the past few weeks. I will not bore you with the tales of ear infections and teacher meetings. But there is important news. And a top secret knitting project.
There are only 8 days left of this school year.
This is one of those mixed blessings. As a teacher I am counting the minutes. All our state standardized testing finished a week ago, so the kids are totally tuned out. As a mom I can’t believe this first year of Kindergarten has gone so fast.
More actual crafting content in the next few days. Right now I have finished doing my hurricane sock (the top secret project above). No knitting until I proctor final exams next week.

I can only imagine how nice it is to only have eight days left and then summer vacation!

I hear you. We’ve gotten out of the illness phase a bit, but my oldest has a slight soar throat. Just went to sign her up for real school this morning. Scary! It flies by so fast.
Oh, and they have longer school years here. They don’t quit till early July. That seems a bit long to me. I think they go a full month longer than most places in the US (even if there are a lot more little vacation days here and there during the school year).
